About Mohd Amini Gawis
Mohd. Amini Gawis works as a freelance journalist. His early poems were published by DBP Sabah Branch. He mainly writes in the genres of poems, short stories and novels. His novel entitled ‘Kabus Misteri’ was published in 2018 that tells the story of the mystery behind the disappearance of MH370 as well as the characters’ struggle to face fate of their now gone children. In 2010/2011, Mohd. Amini Gawis has won the Hadiah Sastera Sabah in the categories of poems and short stories and also Hadiah Peraduan Menulis Puisi Islam. He is active in literary activities in and outside of the country. He is also active in Badan Bahasa dan Sastera Sabah (BAHASA).
