About Author
Began her interest in writing since school and is currently a writer who stands out in the country’s literature arena. Her work was published by ITBM and DPB as well as in local newspapers. She was awarded the Sabah Literary Prize award in 1996/1997 and won runner-up in the Novel Writing Competition organized by Sabah State Cultural Board in 2012 through her novel "Vusak Putih". Besides that, her short story entitled “Bubuk” has won the Short Story Writing Competition organized by the Sabah Economic Development Corporation (SEDCO), BAHASA and New Sabah Times in 2014. The short story titled "Tangis Buliga" was also selected in the short stories anthology of Malaysia-Taiwan and "Pelangiku” in the poetry anthology of Malaysia-Chennai. As a Sabah writer, Kathirina tries to highlight the elements of the Sabah society's culture in her works.
