About Miz Adlina Batrisyia Indra

Miz Adlina Batrisyia Indra also known as Btris Indra was born on January 24, 2001. She is from Papar, Sabah but she had been moving a lot due to her parents' work. From there, she gained a lot of experiences and was inspired to start writing.

Btris started writing at the age of 10 years old. She began her writing with a short story, but unfortunately the manuscript was mistakenly misplaced and can’t be found until now. Btris then continued her writings with poems after reading a lot of poetry books from her favourite author, Lang Leav. In 2019, her parents noticed her ability as an author, hence the meeting with Datuk Jasni Matlani to publish her writings. At the age of 18 years old, she managed to publish her first book entitled Scars. Besides writing poems, she is also capable of writing songs since guitar is her closest friend.

Btris received her early education at Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Rimba Sandakan but then moved to Sekolah Kebangsaan Sentosa Sibu until Primary 6. She continued her education at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Lima Sibu for a year and moved to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan St. Mary Papar for two more years. Then, she completed another two years of studying at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Benoni.

She is currently pursuing her study in Laws at the esteemed International Islamic University Malaysia. She dreams to become a judge just like her father, but for the meantime, she won’t forget her passion in writing. She wants to write more books with different types of genre in the future.

"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive." – James Baldwin
