About Rodiah Haji Said
Rodiah Haji Said received her early education at Sekolah Rendah Kampung Takuli, then at Sekolah Menengah Saint John, Beaufort (SPM 1995), Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Beaufort (STPM 1997) and also has a Diploma in Secretariat from Kinabalu Commercial College (2004). While in Secondary School, she once represented the school in the Sabah State Level Anti-Drug Essay Writing Competition (1996).
She works in the genres of poetry, short stories and novels. Her works have been published in local and national newspapers such as Daily Express, Sabah Times, Utusan Borneo, Waadah DBP Cawangan Sabah magazine, Jendela DBP Cawangan Sabah magazine, Solusi, Dewan Sastera and Berita Harian.
Among the prizes won by Rodiah Haji Said are consolation in the Novel Writing Competition organized by Sabah State Cultural Board (2012), winner of Sabah State Short Story Writing Competition organized by Sabah State Library (2014), winner of SEDCO-BAHASA Short Story Competition (2015), consolation in the Malaysia Day Poetry Competition organized by the Sabah State Government - DBP (2015), winner of the Daily Express Short Story Competition - BAHASA (2016) and the Mahrajan Nusantara Islamic Poetry Competition 2016. She is also the second secretary for the Sabah Language and Literature Association (BAHASA).
