About the Author

He began writing since 1981 in the genre of poetry. He then wrote short stories, novels and critical essays. So far, he has produced 9 short stories, 4 novels, 3 poetries and several critical essays and research books. He has won the Hadiah Sastera Sabah, Hadiah Sastera Perdana Malaysia and the Hadiah Sastera Public Utusan. He also won third place in the Book Writing Competition ITBM-PENA-BH 2015 for the books Kumpulan cerpen Pembunuh Anarki and Kumpulan Puisi Dongeng Perkebunan. In 2015, he was awarded the SEA Write Award in Thailand and in 2017, he won the Hadiah Sastera Perdana for the Kumpulan cerpen Cerita Monyet, Anjing dan Pohon Ginkgo. In the same year, he was awarded Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) which carries the title “Datuk” on the 64^th Birthday of His Excellency Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah.
